Whau Fairy
This fairy tends carefully to newly bloomed whau flowers. Whau (entelea arborescens) is known to be a distant cousin of the Polynesian hibiscus (fau). In spring to midsummer, elegant white flowers appear among whau's large green leaves.
Inspired by a childhood of fairy stories, the NZ Flower Fairies series finds Fairyland in the real land of Aotearoa, New Zealand and its stunning native flora + fauna.
